A Michael Graves-era Misfits cover. I always liked the Misfits, but Danzig-era stuff is too badly produced for my tastes. Graves has some cool stuff buried in there, like this little gem. Really takes on the ridiculous space monster thing to a whole other level.
This is definitely an experimental bit, since I don't usually cover punk, but this was actually my second or third attempt at covering this song. (I'd covered it before, but liked it so much I decided to do it again.) Maybe this is a direction you'll see me move into once λX is finished?
lyrics
Get Lost In Space!
Go!
Of all the things I've taught you, I'm telling you this, son
All the wars fought before can't compare to this one
Giant spiders prepare
To take over
And here comes another mutant suicide squad
You blast them out but now, you're way off course
You're shivering and shaking
I'm calling you, Houston
Am I following
All the right leads?
Or am I about to get
Lost In Space?
When my time comes
They'll write my destiny
Will you take this ride?
Communications lost, we crashed to the earth
Too late to see the giant spider monster giving birth
The future is here...
'Cuz we're in the future
Am I following
All the right leads?
Or am I about to get
Lost In Space?
When my time comes
They'll write my destiny
Will you take this ride?
Take this ride with me?
Take this ride...
Take this ride...
Take this ride...
Take this ride...
Take this ride...
Take this ride...
Take this ride...
Take this ride...
TAKE THIS RIDE!
Am I following
All the right leads?
Or am I about to get
Lost In Space?
When my time comes
They'll write my destiny
Will you take this ride?
Take this ride?
Take this ride?
Take this ride?
Take this ride?
Take this ride?
Take this ride?
DANGER WILL ROBINSON.

I'd write something to entice you but instead I'm just going to tell you it's a band called "You Bred Raptors?" and if that doesn't make you want to listen to it then you can get the fuck out. Onslaught Six
I had an elaborate parody of Patrick Bateman's "Huey Lewis and The News" bit from American Psycho here, but it's too big to fit the recommendation box. So...It's Perturbator. Go get it. Onslaught Six
Female-fronted synthwave, retro electro, whatever you call it. I'm not going to lie: I'm biased because this is a side project of mine. That shouldn't stop you from listening to it. Onslaught Six
Dark electronic music gets warped and clobbered on the latest from Author & Punisher. Brooding, cutting, and claustrophobic. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 18, 2017
